About Me — Tash

Following in my parents' footsteps in the esthetics world was never the plan. But here I am, seven years in, running my own spray tan studio — and loving every second of it.

When I first started Tans by Tash, it was meant to be a side hustle while I worked two other jobs and pursued a career in fashion. But the moment I picked up a spray tan gun, something clicked. I’ve always loved getting spray tans — but giving someone a glow that makes them feel more confident? That felt like art. And it was an art I was determined to perfect.

With nothing but determination (and a few painter's tarps), I built my first studio in my parents’ unfinished basement. It wasn’t glamorous, but it was mine. I launched on Instagram before I ever took a client, so by the time I was ready, the demand was already there. I practiced obsessively, and it paid off. Within months, NUDA — the Canadian luxury spray tan brand I use — asked me to become a Master Trainer for the Toronto region.

From there, everything grew. I moved into my first studio space in downtown Barrie, and eventually relocated to a beautiful new space inside Springs Esthetics, where I continue to create custom tans for the coolest clients around.

I’ve now had the honor of being voted Barrie’s Best Spray Tan multiple years in a row, and every win reminds me how far this little side hustle has come.
